Despite a trying pre embarkation process ref covid testing a totally fabulous time was had. Although the problems at the testing site were apparently due to a third party company we feel Virgin stepped up, not only by providing water and snacks whilst queuing but also with free beer and wine for the entire first evening on board and extra onboard credit. The crew are nothing but friendly and helpful.The cabin was comfortable and well equipped and the curtains that open as you enter the room is a fab novelty, as is the control panel tablet. Not enough can be said about the food, only on ship for 3 nights so not enough time to try everything (already booked next voyage to solve that problem!!). The fact that all the speciality restaurants are included is incredible. We tested Extra Virgin the Italian, Gumbae the Korean Bbq and Razzle dazzle the veggie forward option (with naughty meat options!) for dinner and each was unique and the best versions of that type of food I've ever had. The Wake for brunch was outstanding. Awesome ice cream on top was also a definite bonus. The entertainment, although not like traditional cruise lines eg a different main stage show every night was often the form of an unexpected pop up act in various bars/areas off the ship. That being said the Dual Reality show in the Red room theatre was superb. Our only slight negative would be there seemed to be limited daytime activities, unless you are into health and well being, although if on a cruise with ports of call this would probably not have been noticed. Having a Tattoo parlour on board is a unique idea. To sum up although not a traditional cruise experience would recommend anyone to give it a go.
