I booked this cruise because it matched up with when I could travel.

As i was using the CPS parking, I had to go to the Mayflower Terminal for a Covid test. This took about 2 hours, most of that was waiting in a queue. Although it took a long time, the process worked smoothly and was very well organised.

After my test I drove to the Ocean Terminal and waited for the car to be checked in. This took about 30 minutes. After dropping my bag off I went the terminal building and then had to answer some health question before moving to the check in desk. With perfect timing my test result arrived just in time for me to go straight to the check in desk.

Cabin Review

The cabin was a good size and the beds very comfortable. The bathroom was quite small so you a larger person would struggle getting in and out of the show.

I liked the balcony but it was quite small. P&O have a kettle in the cabin and instant coffee and tea which is nice first thing in a morning. You also get a supply of decaf coffee which is a big plus.

The only down side was the TV on the wall was not level. Also there were four TV music channels but three of them were exactly the same.

Port Reviews

Southampton

Southampton is a great place to start and end your cruise. There are museums and plenty of places to eat and stay. Plus the wonderful Mayflower Theatre
