This was welcome back cruise since Covid. So blessed to be able to sail again. We had to wear mask in common areas. Everyone was vaccinated except children under 16. There were only 600 or so people on this ship so the service was amazing from the waiters, bartenders, etc. Everyone was so nice. In fact it was the best cruise out of 25 cruises for service.
NEGATIVE!!!! - activities - I guess since it was a maiden voyage, the cruise director didn't think people would want to do something other than read a book. Not trying to be rude, but if you are going on this cruise, please be prepared for major down time even on sea days. Entertainment for 45 minutes each night included a mediocre juggler, and 1 comedian who was not funny, and the cruise director singing. No dancers, no royal singers until the last day where they did put on a fabulous show. Definitely played a lot of cards which I can do at home. So be prepared. This cruise is not what you expect for Royal Caribbean who is known for its entertainment. one word - BORING or relaxing if you like to read. If there was going to be no entertainment/activities then Royal should have notified its cruisers. No excuse for this.
Thank goodness for all the positives of the ship like the service and food, drinks etc, and of course beautiful Alaska.
