First the good points - the American Harmony is brand new, and the cabin & bathroom are a great size. The Housekeeping, Shore side & Excursion Teams were good. All the crew were courteous and friendly. Unfortunately the Restaurant team for the most part had no prior experience or training. Dinners were particularly disappointing in selection, quality, lack of imagination and limited options (3 per evening). The Chef (really a Cook) left on the 2nd day. Morning coffee services in the general rooms were not attended / lunches on the Back Porch saw trash cans overflowing. As passengers we had to be fully vaccinated plus have multiple Covid tests prior to boarding the ship and wear masks, but we learned on board that was not the case with all the Crew!

Apparently American Cruise Line has benefited from the lack of competition, but that is going to change next year. As a veteran cruiser including river cruises in Europe where the operators know what SERVICE is about, I will not recommend ACL to my friends.
