Booked this cruise for my mom's 90th birthday celebration. When I requested a handicapped room, I was told all rooms are handicapped accessible. They were not. We spent the first day and a half waiting for an accessible room.
I requested and received confirmation that we were seated for early dining as my mom needed to eat at a particular time, not at 8 pm in the evening. We boarded the boat on Sunday and were refused early dining, so we spent the next three days of our 7 day cruise trying to correct that error.
I took my mom off the boat for a shore excursion that involved a bus ride and the need to ride in a golf cart to reach the destination. When we arrived at the location via bus, I told the American Countess tour guide that my mom needed to be seated on the golf cart as she could not walk up the hill. She assured me she would have a seat. However, as able-bodied passengers left the bus, they immediately boarded the golf cart. The tour guide assured me the cart would be back to get us, just take a seat on the nearby bench. The guide left on the bus, we sat on the bench for 30 minutes and no one returned to pick us up. Mom refused to leave the boat for any subsequent excursions.
