Chose this cruise because it was the second cruise of the Edge to leave from Port Everglades and heard rave reviews of the first sailing. Booked a cancelled reservation 48 hours before sailing in the Retreat. "Threw caution to the wind" and very glad we did.

No mask wearing on board ship for the vaccinated. No temperature tests. No nasal swabs. No waiting for test results. Cruising at its finest, never been better. The 50% capacity made service all the better. Now is the time to really book a cruise on a vaccinated cruise line while the capacity is limited. No lines and for Retreat guests even if there was a line on board, your butler has ways around the line. Never in 30 years have we eaten at a buffet. We, and saw many guests like us, scoped out the Oceanview Cafe (buffet). Used the mandatory hand washing station even if just walking through. Absolutely no self service. Every employee is masked and refrains from passenger contact. First time we ever enjoyed a buffet for the after dinner desserts. Only line we experienced was for ice cream at the buffet and our butler was no where to be seen. Every venue is cleaned every hour. Never felt safer in any environment in the past 15 months than on this ship.

Cabin Review

Celebrity Suite

Just the perfect size. DW travels with 8 bags and plenty of closet and drawer space. Clean. The balcony is 5' x 17' with a square 20" table and 2 chairs, 2 sitting cushioned chairs and I asked butler to bring me a lounge deck chair for the balcony as well. No noise. Enough over hang on balcony for shade. Spent most of afternoon on balcony. Did not bother getting off the ship. No flies while in ports (strange) made dining on balcony more enjoyable. Loved the automatic motorized drapery rods refraining from touching fabrics. Rocking chair was fine only tripped twice on the legs. Two sinks, shelf space behind mirror, vanity mirror folds down for more counter space.
