The ship’s inaugural cruise post pandemic was a 6 nighter to Dover,Belfast and Liverpool from Southampton.The crew and staff gave us an emotional welcome on board and a guard of honour at disembarkation,aswell as gifts in our cabin during the cruise.They also upgraded us to a balcony cabin which was a treat.Throughout the cruise the staff couldn’t have been more helpful and respectful.We received a classic drinks package,free WiFi and free parking as part of our deal.There were about 1000 passengers and 950 staff,plenty of room for everyone,and all double-jabbed.The staff all wore masks,the passengers didn’t outside or when eating and drinking.The entertainment,a magician,comedian,the Barricade Boys and the ship’s singers was excellent.The food was plentiful in the Oceanview cafe,less so in the a la carte main restaurant but tasty.There are plenty of other eating options available.We used the main dining room mostly,the service was a little slow but we had plenty of time.

We could only leave the ship on organised tours so we visited Canterbury from Dover,the Giants Causeway from Belfast and did a walking tour in Liverpool.All 3 had excellent guides and were value for money.It was a pleasure to cruise on Silhouette,we wouldn’t hesitate todo so again.A most enjoyable cruise.
