We had not traveled in over 2 years and wanted to do something "manageable" given some of our age/mobility issues. While we have taken 20 cruises throughout the years, this was the first completely American one - American built ship, all U.S.A. ports, etc.

The ship is lovely and beautifully appointed. It manages to include many of the amenities one would find on a larger ship: small library, workout area, computer room. There were plenty of outdoor areas to enjoy as well. Overall the brightness and spaciousness was a welcome surprise. Our cabin and bathroom were more spacious than on almost any other vessel we've been on; the balcony was small but perfectly adequate.

As we live in the west, we were familiar with several of the ports of call (and I had visited key attractions several times) so we didn't choose this voyage because of the scheduled stops.
