Wow! What a trip! Like most others have said, I didn't have any interest in overrunning small Alaskan towns with thousands of my newest "friends." A large ship wouldn't get me as close to the nature and incredible wildlife of Alaska. I also don't like being nickeled and dimed each day of my trip. To be able to get up close to glaciers, go on 2 excursions a day, and have all insanely delicious meals and drinks (including alcoholic) included, UnCruise was an incredible value. I can't wait to travel with them again!

Choose between kayaking, hiking, bushwhacking, snorkeling, skiff rides and more, all lead by expert guides. This was definitely an adventure trip but that didn't mean I needed to be super fit. There were activities for all levels making this a wonderful options for people of every age. That said, given the small ship, there are no elevators so you would need to be able to walk up/down a flight of stairs. Highly recommend for a family or multi-generational trip.

The Wilderness Discoverer is not a fancy boat but it has absolutely everything you need. Tons of storage solutions, two hot tubs, and the ability to launch all excursions directly from the boat. All that said, what really sets UnCruise apart from the competition is the people. The crew was incredible! Friendly, welcoming, knowledgable and so excited to show you Alaska. It was hard to say goodbye.

Cabin Review

Definitely no frills but it had everything I needed. Great storage solutions and hooks absolutely everywhere. Toilet and shower are both in one small room. Again, not fancy, but the pressure was great and always nice hot water. My room was directly above the engine so it was loud at night. It was a steady hum and didn't bother me but, if you're a light sleeper, you'll want to be on the 3rd deck.
