We always wanted to transit the Panama Canal, and HL's Eurodam did it. To my wife and I it was all about cruising with close friends of some 60 years. The ship was very nice indeed, the crew was wonderful, and the food great. Plenty of "private" spaces on the ship to read, and have a drink. For me the photography classes by Justin James were truly the best, made the cruise even more enjoyable, and I am a better photographer because of him. Even went out after we got back to Texas and bought a new camera.

Along with the canal passage we particularly enjoyed the food. Service in the main dining room was outstanding, and the steaks served there were some of the best I have eaten. Having lived in Holland Indonesian Rijsttafel was remembered as a special treat, and when I mentioned to our waiter he arranged a special dinner for us and our friends. The variety of international food served in the Lido Market were also outstanding.

We will book HL again.

Great location on lower deck with large window. A very stable location compared to higher decks.
