Sail Date: Nov 2019

We chose this particular cruise to visit their new private island that was advertised as opened three weeks prior to our sailing. When we were checking in, there was a notice posted that said there was an itinerary change and we would not be stopping at the island but spending the day at sea. They claimed it was due to circumstances beyond there control yet they advertised it when we booked our cruise. Breakfast foods such as pancakes, waffles, toast, etc. were cold to very cold each morning. Bars were terribly understaffed with bartenders not paying attention to who was next for service and taking care of people rudely cutting in front of others. The adult only section (no children allowed) was open for part of one day yet the bar wasn't and the remainder of the 4 day cruise it was closed for "private" parties. The dining room was full of SCREAMING kids, some running around, hiding under tablecloths, totally unruly with parents or staff saying nothing. Got up and left the dining room and didn't go back. One of the bowling lanes was leaning to the left and we asked to switch to the other lane and it was broken. There were little kids in the casino!! Smoking and all, parents were bringing in babies to the casino....again, nothing said. We had a leak under our sink bad enough to put towels in there (toilet paper got wet), requested it fixed, never did. There was a terrible diesel odor emanating from the shower drain that was sickening. Our balcony divider was broken so the privacy panel just flapped wide open. They did fix that. People next to us were smoking cigars on their balcony which is a no smoking zone. Called desk to complain as it was unbearable, no one answered. Cirque show cancelled 2 nights in a row, the one night it was on they honored the first ticket holders...they reimbursed us for that at least. The English style pub bartenders were rude and one poor girl that was very nice was overwhelmed with her work and I actually helped her clear her tables; she was almost in tears. TOTAL TRAIN WRECK......STAY AWAY FROM MSC....never again!!!!
