My husband & I had low expectations after reading the negative reviews. We have been on 20 prior cruises between multiple cruise lines. We decided a few weeks out to go on a short winter getaway and this cruise fit perfectly in our time frame. We were both pleasantly surprised with the ship and our cruise experience. The ship had been refurbished in lot of areas a couple of months prior which helped.
The pool was a nice size and had plenty of chairs surrounding it. The bar service was better than our 4 prior cruises and in general the service on this ship was a better than prior cruises.
Even though there wasn't a Steak House, we were happy with the food & service in the dining room. Normally we eat in the Steak House 2 -3 times during a 7 night cruise. Did miss the wine you only get at the Steak House.
The cabin was very clean and had just been refurbished 2 months prior. The bathroom was probably the biggest bathroom of all the Carnival ships I've been on & this was my 11th cruise with them. Plenty of storage room for the two of us. The bed was very comfortable and didn't have a hole in the middle of the two beds after being pushed together as we had on previous cruises.
We loved Key West. Very cute area with beautiful homes. Of course we did bar hop and all the places we went were fun, clean & had great service. I can't wait to go back.
One of our favorite ports. We've been there multiple times and have done the ruins and all the other shore excursions. We now love to go to a beach club called Nachi-Cocum. They limit the number of people so it's never too crowded. You get your own sheltered area on the beach, the included drinks are plentiful as is the 4 course lunch. We are never disappointed with this beach club.
