I chose this cruise because my senior community was running a group trip including bus transportation to/from NY port. Embarkation was orderly, but the lines to check in were very long, but once we got to the desk it was a breeze from there. We ate lunch at the maining dining room then our rooms were ready. Our balcony cabin "BA" was the only balcony room choice we had. We did try to upgrade to Jr. Suite but I guess since we were in a group reservation, it was not available. The room and bathroom size was the major disappointment on the ship. Altho the balcony itself was a nice size, the bedroom area was difficult for two people to maneuver around, constantly needing to step aside to allow other person to get by. Bathroom: shower size was fine for us, but the toilet area was ridiculously small. I don't know how an over weight/size person can sit on toilet without banging knees on wall. My sister and I are both under 5'2" and it was a challenge.

Ship is a good size overall with plenty of places to gather for reading/games/cards, etc. We really enjoyed the Atrium area, to sit while room attendant cleaned our room, to watch participate in daily tv games. I did expect the main pool would be a bit larger, but I am not a pool person so it didn't directly affect me. Plenty of great activities in pool area. Ferdie out Cruise Director was exceptionally good. He was everywhere ! Plenty of energy ! Joey too !

We did not eat in buffet area due to Coronavirus fears. Main dining room was slightly disappointing. The windows (some) were encrusted with something preventing total view, they really need to replace those. Loved the floor to ceiling windows though and views were great. Food in main was average to very good. We preferred the Magenta dining room (complimentary) for dinner, better choices.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Balcony

nicely laid out and plenty of storage room. Overall room was too small and so was bathroom. Balcony nice size for 2 people. Beds were comfortable. Two electric AC outlets, one on each side of room, plenty of lighting. Refrigerator could have been slightly colder. WE asked attendant to empty refridge so we could put our own beverages in it, and he did.
