We chose this cruise because my hubby and i wanted to see the pacific side of mexico, Why not on a NEW SHIP?! .We only have Celebrity to measure to but here is what we found... the main DR was ALWAYS cold...like very cold. The food was just...meh.. and the decor was not as nice as celebrity, however.. playing to a different crowd, i wouldnt want to have it super posh and kids jumping all over it. NOT dissing kids, it is what it is...EMMA was amazing, never really actually met her but her voice is infectious and her ALWAYS ON (bless her soul) attitude was over and above. She is the voice of Carnival.. i can only imagine, her time off she must spend sleeping.. thank you Emma for your very hard work at trying to please everyone! Havana bar was nice, it would have been nicer had the weather been better, but thats not Carnivals fault. More beverage options as opposed to you coming up with one on your own, would have been more helpful.. your on vaca, you don't want to think..lol.. The entertainment was definitely better than celebrity, and JOHN...loved him. Im glad he got to see his moma today! JIJI'S was AMAZING food. It was a refreshingly different taste and the service was done well. The seafood shack was also good.. the Casino was fun, a lot of winning from a lot of people. Surprised is both, actually.. I would suggest they take time during the evening and clean off the machines more often of the "stuff" people leave lying around, particularly ashtrays and empty glasses..(although i would prefer to put this on the people using them, i feel most dont think it should be them cleaning up their own mess) i cleaned a couple off just to sit down and play. The staff on board, for the most part everyone was pleasant, i did feel some were getting tired as its close to the end of their run, felt you were asking for too much sometimes, but I wouldnt hold that against them.. It would also be nice to have a few more garbage cans, (recycling) maybe near the elevators as you have coffee cups as your walking around but have to hunt to find a place to discard them. All in all, i didnt mind the Carnival, and i would cruise with them again, its a new ship..their is always kinks to iron out.

Cabin Review

Havana Cabana Suite

The Cabin was beautiful, our cabin attendant (sorry, name escapes me) was amazing, you never saw him, but your room was immaculate . And a fun little creature folded nicely from towels was always there to greet you when you got home in the evening.
