SAILED THE REFLECTION which was in good shape out of Ft. Lauderdale to New Orleans, Grand Cayman and Cozumel . An older crowd with very few kids. The ship was close to sold out if not completely. Celebrity’s product while still pretty good has suffered as have the other lines with food quality price cutting and staffing restrictions. Serving staff; in restaurants and bars appear to be at a minimum. Dining Room staff looked rushed and “Anytime Dining” puts unfamiliar passengers with needs often with different staff which doesn’t help. We had a table for 11 which is large and sometimes cumbersome for staff anyways. The waiter who who had others table(s) was very good at his job and did well. Sit at a large table you suffer the consequences. We were also the longest away from the kitchen for some reason. Food was good and portions suitable to our age bracket. (All Seniors). The bread sticks on X are almost worth the fare by themselves.
The Porch for Lunch..seafood towers were excellent. We also had dinner one night at the “Lawn Club”. Also great but at extra cost of course.
Other than the first night when there was a lot of confusion about our dinner reservation time. (The claimed not to have one for us) anytime went just fine although they wanted us to eat early than we actually wanted but that got fixed pretty quickly also.
Larger balcony. View not really obstructed by Life Boats at all. View out to sea and forward grreat. Straightdown ok. To the stern obstructed by the hump. Directly over a smoking area which was never a problem. However on this cruise I will be haunted by a smoking ladies' laugh forever. She was just having too much fun with her fellow smokers.. Closing the door fixed the problem. Had it been warmer I may have resorted to a bucket of water. lol
