After waiting 4 hours just to get on the ship, my expectations were pretty low. Finally got on about 4pm and rushed to get food. Staff was trying to rush us to leave for the muster stations but people were still getting onboard. Finally announced that muster was delayed until 5:30pm. Odd that staff was oblivious to the lengthy embarkation. They were so disorganized that they couldn’t even get all passengers onboard in time for the safety brief. Also recording room numbers for towels on paper then not recording returned towels. Really not efficient or organized.
Food was okay. Pool wasn’t great as it was busy and cold. As well as only having 1 pool for families. The inside room was tiny although the bathroom was very nice. Really no storage so we were living out of a suitcase. Evening entertainment was mediocre although Choir of Man was very good. Daughter just turned 18 and absolutely nothing for that age group. They had a 18-25 meet and greet but my daughter isn’t going to hang out with people who can drink. Not an appropriate age mix.
Also missed one of the ports (Costa Maya) which was disappointing and the revised schedule for the day was underwhelming at best.
Had an inside cabin. Not expecting much but RC has much larger inside cabins with much better layout and storage. Also had to get the cabin steward to open our fridge and pull out all the mini bar stuff so we could use it. Cabin steward was inattentive. Also had to dodge human feces in the hallway one day. We reported it immediately but how could the cabin stewards not have seen it? Disgusting.
