We chose this cruise because we love the Caribbean islands. The stops were great, except Trinidad. We were there during Carnival and the streets were loud and violent - wouldn't choose that port again. Quick note about wipes, regular Clorox wipes won't kill Norovirus, but the hydorgen peroxide wipes do. We took a container on board and wiped our cabin a few times during the two weeks.
I can't say enough good things about the crew. They worked so very hard cleaning the ship - they had their regular jobs to do, then spent another 2 hours a day cleaning. The railings, walls, carpets, everything in the cabin, touch screens, elevator buttons were all sanitized once an hour. The dancers and other entertainers scrubbed the theatre between shows - all the seats and folding tray tables - great job! The virus seemed to spread mostly because of a few selfish, arrogant passengers who refused to stay in their cabins for the required 3 days. Also, spouses were not quarantined which made no sense to me. They are sharing beds and bathrooms with ill passengers and were allowed to roam the ship freely.
Because of my food allergy we ate mostly in the dining room and our cabin. The headwaiter, Ivan, was fabulous in taking my order and letting me choose anything off the menu. If you just ask, you can mix and match from the menu - this main course, that veggie and a different potato. The food was noticeably better than the previous January. We only ate in the buffet twice where staff were serving and there were long lines for everything.
Cabin was excellent. We like having the extra sitting room space and larger balcony. My back needs a soak every morning so the tub is very nice, if a bit on the small side. Sufficient storage and lots of hangers, surprise!
