Getting on and off the ship in Port Canaveral was the easiest I have experienced in 8 cruises. Truly a breeze!

I had been on the Breakaway in July and absolutely loved the ship. When we came home I booked this trip. The difference in the casino staff, bartenders and drink servers was really noticeable. This cruise the service at some bars was so bad that we actually left and went to other bars. In July, the casino staff and drink servers were phenomenal, but on this cruise, they were not good or friendly. Even tipping did not help. In contrast, however, service in Cagney’s, Manhattan, Moderno and Tepenyaki were top notch, absolutely outstanding. Spice H20 bartenders and waitstaff was also very good. First bar we went to on embarkation day outside of one of the main dining rooms had 2 bartenders and 1 or 2 passengers waiting for drinks. We stood at the bar for quite a while and we were never acknowledged. We finally ordered drinks from the waitress while we were in Taste. It continued like this for the rest of our cruise. I blame the unlimited drink packages for the poor bar service but I also blame NCL for not fixing what is an obvious problem. The food in the main dining rooms, specialty restaurants and the buffet were all very good. We had a lot of fun watching the Super Bowl on the big screen at Spice H20 on a really nice evening. Overall, we had a lot of fun on our cruise, but I am really disappointed that NCL’s service has declined. I have cruised 8 times with NCL. Never cruised another kind. This time when I came home I booked RCCL for the first time! I am really hoping the staff problems this time were a fluke and not how things will be in the future. Breakaway is a very clean, beautiful ship.
