We chose this cruise for our Anniversary since it left out of Port Canaveral. This is my third Carvnival cruise and have cruised on most other lines. We have been to the Bahamas but not overnight. The Liberty is a very nice ship. It was well decorated and did not appear to need updates as other reviews have noted. There was plenty of places to sit and relax. The pool area was laid out very nice with tiers and held lots of chairs. The only time it was overcrowded was during the sea day. We could not find a chair to sit, but found at least 100 empty chairs with blue towels with at least one person guarding entire empty rows. Although there was a sign not to reserve chairs, it was not enforced. They had a large movie screen over the pool with a good list of movies. The cruise is very nice for families with children. They have a Dr Seuss theme and it seemed like lots of activities for the kids. We did notice though the children tended to fill up the spas by the pool. But they have a very nice adults only section with two jacuzzis in the Aft of the ship. The food overall was better than most ships I have been on. We ate at Guys burgers and they had a Mongolian Wok that was open the first day and last day (it is not open all the time so go there when you see it open). The overall best meal went to Diamonds SteakHouse. We had Australian Wagyu and Surf and turf for only $38.00 each. This 5 course meal was better than most prime steakhouses I have been to. The service was excellent.

Cabin Review

Balcony

The cabin was chosen for us which was a little less expensive. It was very roomy, Bed was very comfortable. We had a nice size pullout couch. balcony was standard size. Bathroom was a nice size and nice shower. We were mid ship. Only complaint is we were right next to the glass elevators with an overlook rail by our room. We could hear the music from the lobby. The first night it was mellow with horns which was relaxing. The second night was a very loud band that played until 12:30. If you are looking for quiet, this is not your room.
