This was our 10th celebrity cruise, 13th overall and 2nd on Equinox. Every year we sail presidents week with family and friends as a tradition. We love the solstice class ships and are never disappointed. We live in Orlando so no hotel stays are necessary. Travel time to port everglades is 3-31/2 hours. We chose to park on site which cost $15 per night for the convenience. Embarkation was really fast, we utilized the app with online check in. They have a special line that expedites you with facial recognition and you are on the ship in no time. Same goes for disembarkation we didn't even need passports out same process and you are off in minutes. As long as you check in online and scan your passports on the app the facial recognition knows who you are and its very quick.

Equinox is a beautiful ship and does not show her age. Celebrity does an excellent job cleaning and maintaining their fleet. We previously sailed on the Eclipse again this past summer and she was in great shape as well. My family and I love the layout and use of space on these ships, they truly are modern luxury. The new carpets and furniture/décor keep the ship looking fresh and new. I Love the blue hull to match the new ships, really makes them stand out from other cruise lines.

We stay in mostly concierge class rooms due to the location of them. They tend to be more quiet than other areas and we prefer the back of the ship. As soon as we boarded which was 11:30 we went straight to our room to drop our bags . The keys were left outside the room like they said and our room happened to be ready. If your room is not ready they leave a magnet on the door stating this so you can drop your bag and return later. I love this new process. The new room décor is really nice but I do miss having the foot rests on the balcony. The table outside is a small table not ideal to have a meal outside. Not quite sure why they changed that. They no longer put slippers in concierge rooms and the toiletries are new. I bring my own so not an issue for me but in my opinion not very sanitary being in large refillable bottles. I think a wall unit that locks would be a better solution for that. The new mattresses are very comfortable and our cabin attendant Komang was very accommodating. Read more
