The ship has held up beautifully. All the common spaces were immaculate. Our cabin was well cared for with one expectation. The divider between verandas had broken loose and was banging with the wind. It took maintenance two tries to repair the problem.
Problems: Late seating in the MDR was sparse. Our original table was for six. Only one other couple. The next night we were moved to a table for 10. Only we and the original couple were at the new table for the duration of the cruise. The wait staff was excellent, can’t praise Gede, Pauline and Ida enough. However the MDR management could do a better job of utilizing their resources. Many large tables with one or two couples that could have been consolidated. With mandatory gratuities now server would have been short changed.
On now to the shows. The guest performers were good. Lance Lipinski was outstanding and played to the crowd. The productions shows were not good. Three of the four shows using the onboard cast were semi operatic with long held notes that didn’t seem to hold together. The show where the cast sang Broadway tunes were good and better suited to the cast. Enough already with the aerialist. You can only do so many feats of strength while hanging high above the stage.
