This is a great way to see and experience Myanmar and to learn more of its history and its peoples. Scenic have wonderful people in their crew and as their Tour Guides. All locals and keen to educate about their culture. The Scenic Aura accommodates maximum 44 in 22 cabins (all more suites than rooms) and on our trip we had 33 pax and 38 crew. Could we be more pampered? The Inle Lake extension to the Irrawaddy River Cruise was fantastic and the Sanctum Inle Resort is a wonderful choice by Scenic to keep the standard of accommodation and service at the highest 5 star level. The first approach to the Resort by longboat kept the "first impressions" at a peak. The cruise up to the landing through waterfront houses and tomato plantings along the canals was an experience in itself. The excursions by longboat from this Resort to local attractions were terrific. The Inle fishermen with their leg-rowing and conical fishing traps are just as you see them in the postcards. Scenic have a well- deserved 5 star reputation. Highly recommended!!
