We boarded in Barbados having flown from the UK, embarkation was late due to delays with luggage at the airport and there was no welcome when we got on the ship
We were on board for 14 nights and found that there was a lot more attention given to other groups when they arrived, the focus seemed to be on French guests
Our cabin, a balcony on deck 13 with the Aurea experience was good, spacious and comfortable and kept clean
All of the staff that we dealt with were helpful, polite and friendly
The theatre shows were rather disappointing but there were lots of alternatives, ie. live music in several bars
Food in the buffet was of a good quality
Food in the main restaurant was, however, disappointing. There was nothing wrong with the food but it lacked any wow factor. When comparing with other cruise lines that we have traveled with (Cunard and Celebrity) the MSC came up very poor
The ship itself is beautiful, very glitzy and glamorous
I think it is a case of getting what you pay for and over all the cruise was fair value
Good spacious clean and comfortable
