My wife and I (both active 60-year old’s) have been on a couple of Carnival Cruises, first time on Costa. We sailed mid-January on the 10-day cruise out of Fr. Lauderdale. We chose this cruise due to the length of time and price. It was dirt cheap and we had very low expectations. I had read all the reviews and was worried about coffee, water, drinks, and food. On top of all that, I am very fussy, not much patience with sloppy effort and cleanliness, but was determined to be mellow and go with the flow.

Getting on and off the ship was incredibly easy both at check-in, port stops and debarking to leave.

The cabin: we were on the 7th floor and had a balcony. We brought way too much luggage, 4 suitcases, and 2 backpacks. I had 12 items on hangers from the cleaners and enough clothes for a month. Everything fit easily in the closets and draws; I was shocked by how much space there was.
