The tours really varied, it was either a great experience with the tour guide or not. The guides for the Celebrity arranged tours in Athens and Petra were great. In Abu Dhabi, the guide was so scattered going through the mosque, the group basically took matters into our own hands to make the most of the outing. We knew where the bus was and what time to meet , so we just ventured on our own.

I understand Celebrity isn't doing the Suez anymore but RCCL still is, so please be aware of the rip-off gift shop stop all the buses do on the way to Petra. While there I found a lacquered box and negotiated a fair price. While at the counter the sales person quickly bubble wrapped my purchase knowing it would travel by plane back home, so I likely would not unwrap it. Boy, did I learn my lesson. When I got back to the U.S. and AFTER I submitted my Celebrity review, I unwrapped the box and found my choice had been switched out for an inferior version that hadn't been fully lacquered. How am I so sure? Because I saw it, noticed the poor quality and looked for a better version of the same design, and took that one instead to the the register. I was approached by a staff member, who after some negotiation, took it from me, had a chat with I guess a manager, and then came back to the counter and very quickly wrapped it.
