Pricing was very low on this Balcony cabin. We are seasoned cruisers with 20 thus far and had been on the Dawn prior to this and had not had a great experience, so decided to give Norwegian another try. Start with embarkation. We traveled with 3 other couples 2 couples had various items confiscated. Small fan, Pliers for vapor cigarette. Had these items been posted on website we would not have bothered. Then it was on to paying a corking charge for wine $30.00. Cannot bring water or any soft drinks on the ship. Finally on board it was around one pm. Room was not ready. Around 3.00 room was ready. Balcony room was ok but balcony its self was very small. Had to turn chairs sideways to have leg room. On to bookings. You have to reserve everything on this ship. Reservations are required. Same with dining if you chose not to go freestyle, Comedy clubs etc. Alcohol is very expensive. $9.06 for a beer and upward of 12 to 15 dollars for a mixed drink. All include a 20% gratuity. Dining in Dining room was adequate. Quality of the food was average. We did find a little sit down restaurant on Deck 7 that had a morning special on Mimosas & Bloody Mary's from 7 to 11 for $5.95. Just by chance though as this is not advertised, Pool area is very small and crowded as this ship has over 4,000 passengers, Best part was our Room Steward he was sensitive to our needs and kept room very clean. They do not furnish towels in room for offshore activities. You have to check those out at a certain area. Were no towels or staff members in the gym also. There also just two sets of elevators were most cruise ships have three. Ship had outstanding graphics and was beautifully decorated. Very clean. Overall there were some other plus items for us but our thinking was when you add all the extras that other lines allow as a courtesy and high Alcohol costs and cost of some services it was not for us. Will not repeat. Disembarkation was delayed by several hours due to high winds which was unavoidable.
