We chose this particular cruise based on cost and timing. We wanted to go to Hawaii and this just worked. This was the longest cruise we have ever been on, 15 days.

Embarkation and debarkation were both smooth and trouble-free.

The Star Princess is older, which gives it some character but also shows its age. There were constantly public restrooms with toilets or urinals out of service and in need of cleaning. We saw several buckets placed in hallways to catch drips from what appeared to be leaking plumbing.

Cabin Review

Interior

Plenty of storage and spacious for an inside cabin. It was hard to regulate temperature. One light switch quit working but was repaired after a few days.

Port Reviews

Hilo

Akaka Falls was impressive.

Kauai

The Fern Grotto was beautiful.
