We have chosen Norwegian for the past 5 years for our cruises and have always had a pleasant experience. This cruise was no different. It was great! The embarkation - as well as the disembarkation - at the Port of Tampa was easy. While on board, everything ran smoothly, the staff was courteous, and our fellow passengers were kind.

We always get an Aft-Facing Suite which seems to work well for us. Our butler, Manelito, was attentive and always met our requests in a timely manner - and always with a smile. Our concierge, Nashira, was also very helpful and kind. My husband uses a cane, but had no problem navigating the ship - except to access the Bimini Bar on Deck 14.

Our only issue was with the Havana Nights Cigar Lounge My husband appreciates having a good cigar in the evenings. As every cigar smoker knows, the best way to enjoy a cigar is to linger in a relaxing environment with a good cocktail and pleasant conversation with fellow cigar enthusiasts. The Cigar Lounge on the Dawn is beautifully-appointed and in a great location. However, they allowed cigarette smoking in there during our cruise - even with a sign that says "Cigarette smoking is prohibited in the Cigar Lounge." The cigarette smokers came in for a quick cigarette and then quickly left. They were in and out all the time - and the cigarette smoke was overbearing at times. We were told that cigarette smokers were allowed in the Cigar Lounge on this cruise because it was difficult for most of them to access the cigarette smoking area on Deck 14 at the Bimini Bar. My suggestion would be for NCL to find a suitable (accessible) area for cigarette smokers on the Dawn. Read more
