We were with a group of 17 couples who met from across the country and cruised together for a week. This was our first experience with Carnival, but we have cruised twice before. We stayed in a Grand Suite and found the accommodations spacious and lovely. Incredible amount of efficient storage. Bathroom was lovely, spacious, including double sinks, a jacuzzi tub and bidet. Service from our room steward to the dining room was excellent. We enjoyed the shows and my husband enjoyed playing Bingo one morning. The string trio was amazingly talented - able to play almost anything from a variety of genres. Our shore excursions were excellent. We especially enjoyed our excursion in Cozumel, where we went into the city, visited a church, traditional markets, and an orphanage, followed by a lovely lunch at a small cafe: https://www.carnival.com/shore-excursions/cozumel/make-a-difference-give-back-with-purpose-304265. Angel, our tour guide, was excellent and the orphanage was amazing.

There are parts of the ship that could use a little facelift, but we found the ship clean, comfortable, and staff excellent. Most of the food was very good. We enjoyed breakfast best at the buffet - plenty of choices and quality good. Lunch was mostly good; some for the buffet items were unusual, but most were tasty. Dinner in the regular dining room was very good, but occasionally someone in our group had an item that was a little subpar. The wait staff was excellent.

We found that there were a number of people that were clearly there to "party," drinking and smoking, but they tended to congregate in the bars and casino, so could relatively easily be avoided by those of us seeking more quiet relaxation. I was pleasantly surprised at how easily we were able to get elevators on such a busy ship.

Cabin Review

Grand Suite

Cabin was lovely - spacious, lots of well-designed storage space, large bathroom with double sinks, jacuzzi tub, and bidet. Balcony was lovely, spacious. Worth the extra expense to have such a large, lovely space. Room steward, Wayan, was excellent and went the extra mile to get to know us and be of service.
