A group of women travel together every year. This was our first cruise and the first with Viking. We enjoyed the caring service and professionalism and friendliness of all the staff. The tours was great. We learned a great deal about Portugal, the history, current economy, life and issues. I cannot stress how much the staff made this trip worth the time. All were so helpful and knew the country. We had a great time!!!
The options for side trips were varied and met our needs as first time visitors to this country. We saw the varied industries of the country and so much history that as Americans we are not aware of.
We added days prior to departure in Madrid. That was fun but the highlight was the trip to Toledo. Again it was wonderful seeing the country side and this town was so old and so interesting.
Cabin Review
Standard Outside Stateroom
Small for two persons but we did not intend to spend time in our rooms. Our travel group never does so we did not mind the size. The bed was very comfortable, the bath was more then suitable and storage was fine. I really appreciated having a place to send clothes to be cleaned if needed. All was very clean.
Our room had a smell in the bathroom. The staff worked very hard to determine what it was. It was not fixed while there but it was not too uncomfortable.
