We chose this cruise to see the new locks of the Panama Canal which we did. We were on the same cruise ship in August and it was very good. New chef, captain, and cruise director made it a poor cruise. Main problem was the food in the dining room. Awful. Cruise director liked to hold everything in the center of the cruise ship which was not large enough for dance lessons and dancing at night. This was a poor choice. We will not use princess for a about 3 years since it was so bad which is disappointing since we just reached elite. I know Princess will not contact us as they are happy to fill up all their cruise ships for now...but that may change!!! As fof the room, it was very good and the steward was above average. Bars were great and bartender Zen was the best ever. Jun the bartender was good as well. Entertainment needs improvement. Getting on and off the ship was above average. We liked using the medallions for getting in the room and charging stuff. However, the poor food made it so our next three cruises we have signed up for will be on Holland American and Viking.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Not a bad cabin. Alvin took good care of us.

Port Reviews

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

They did not dock and the tenders were not fun to ride on so we just stayed on the ship.

Cartagena (Colombia)

We had been there before so we just got off and looked around.

Colon (Cristobal)

We were signed up for 3 hour tour. We found out the tour would have been three hours and then we would have to sit under a tent waiting for the cruise ship to return for four hours. So we cancelled!

Falmouth

We just rode the trolly!

We are taking a three year break from Princess in hopes that they will improve on the food. When we have the Club Class dining (not on this ship) we seem to have better food. People around our table stopped coming to the dining room since the food was so bad. They would go to the buffet or maybe to a specialty restaurant!
