Sail Date: Dec 2019

We chose it for celebrating our fiftieth wedding anniversary. We had wanted to sail around South America and when we saw that the Viking Jupiter (on which we had sailed around the British Isles this past summer) was sailing that itinerary, we chose this cruise.

We enjoyed having the same head waiter in the Dining room that we had had this past summer. Also, we very much liked the design of the ship. We were also glad to see the same Entertainment Director.

This trip the evening shows were over the top. The three Tango performances and the two Electric Harp performances rated as some of the best shows that we have seen on any cruise. Especially jaw-dropping was the last night's Tango Performance.

Cabin Review

We liked the room very much. A three design issues, though, are a problem. The sliding closet doors led to pinched fingers and/or body parts. The way they slide probably needs to be adjusted. Second, the bed is so firm that I had several back pain caused me to lose sleep several nights. Third, the bed does not seem to be made with a top sheet that would separate the sleeper from the duvet. We had to request one be added so that we could roll back the duvet when it made us too warm.
