We chose this cruise because we had never visited the countries in the Baltic region. The pre cruise extension in Oslo was informative and a good overview of the city. The tour of the Viking ship museum was fantastic because of the beautifully preserved and exhibited ships. We also had time to explore the city on our own on the first day we arrived. We visited the waterfront and enjoyed a wonderful meal in the late afternoon in a sidewalk restaurant where we enjoyed people watching.

The breakfast feast provided by the hotel the next morning was to die for. It was a very elegant presentation of the food and everything and anything one would want for a delicious breakfast meal. The hotel was elegant and a first rate hotel. Our bus ride to the train station and our ride on the train from Oslo to Bergen was very comfortable The scenery was fantastic and very beautiful. Our overnight hotel in Bergen was first rate too, and the tour through the city the next morning gave us a good feel for the city and what to see on a future visit. The visit to the old fort was extremely interesting especially the climb up into the tower building.

On board the ship, our cabin was as we expected. The ship is beautiful, food is fantastic, tours at every stop were well planned. The fjords are beyond description for their natural beauty. We chose the train ride past the waterfall to a resort hotel at the top and the trip up and back was beautiful. Every tour we signed up for, in Stavanger, Oslo, Flam, Skagen, Bergen, were all wonderful and we enjoyed them all. We just love everything about Viking cruises. This was our second Viking ocean cruise and we just loved it. We like the smaller size ships and we like the many amenities Viking provides. Everything seems to run smoothly from getting on and off the ship, to the tours, entertainment and food. We love Manfredi's Grill but the Restaurant has fantastic food too. I enjoy sampling the regional specialties provided and the chance to sample some of the local foods. What more can I say, Viking is the best!

Cabin Review

We were on the 4th deck. Room steward was very friendly and attentive to our needs, He managed to find a comb for my husband who had lost his at one of the hotels. That was a nice thing for him to do.
