We used Azamara for a South American cruise. The Pursuit is much smaller than the HAL ships we are used to but still had everything we wanted. The service was incredible, although that may have been partly because there were only about 500 passengers and capacity is 777 but there was still a full crew on board and so we got more attention than if it had been full. We thought the food was excellent and there was a lot of choice. We don't typically buy a beverage package on HAL so having drinks included was a definite plus. There were always several choices of wine at meals as well as the chance to have a pre-dinner drink in addition to being able to go to any bar at any time (or simply wait for a waiter) and have a drink. It was especially nice to get something ice cold, such as a frozen margarita, when returning from a tour where the weather was 38 degree centigrade and humid! (And no worries about a bar bill at the end of the cruise.) The other nice plus was having gratuities included, which can add up over the course of a two week cruise. Our cabin, an oceanview, was quite nice and the bathrooms were reasonable. I have seen other reviews that said that the showers were tiny and too low -- I am 6'3" tall and I had no problems whatsoever. Having an oceanview was good and, since we weren't on the promenade deck, we could leave the curtains open if we wanted. (Our room steward gave us a tour of the Copenhagen Suite, since it wasn't in use and I would have to say that their suites are amazing but, unfortunately out of our price range.) The cruise itself and the ports included was good. We did not use the ship's excursions but arranged our own. The 'White Night' and the 'Azamazing Evening' were also very well done and we quite enjoyed them. We took in some of the entertainment in the evenings and made good use of the fitness centre.
