Friends invited us to join them on this cruise. We had cruised before, but never on Viking. It was by far the best, but also the most expensive. There was value for the price. The cruise manager and the entire crew were superior. The destinations were great.
We made good use of the public spaces for playing games on sea days. The service was beyond expectations. The atrium concerts added to the experience.
The sound level in concerts was NOT ear-splitting as on other cruises. We were glad there was no casino.
Large room and more than adequate shower. The bed was a king and comfortable. The housekeeping was exceptional.
Okay. Not a lot to see.
A lot of time driving to get to the old town.
The choices in The Restaurant were broad and excellent. We were never disappointed, because if something did not suit us as we had expected, our attentive and friendly waiters brought us another alternative. The alternative dining option was nice, but we preferred the fare offered in the main dining area as more to our tastes.
