We chose this particular cruise because it enabled us to see so many interesting and varied places. It certainly didn’t disappoint! The itinerary was amazing and varied and we were able to understand and appreciate it fully with the assistance of on board talks and the most knowledgeable and articulate guides. Even though I was slightly disabled following a knee operation, transport and ‘gentler’ routes ensured that I never missed out. Our facilities were extremely comfortable and beautifully looked after. Watching the fairytale views slip past from our own balcony as we cruised through World Heritage scenery was unforgettable. The food was consistently excellent, plentiful and varied, often reflecting the cuisine of the area we were passing through. The service from every single member of staff was excellent, nothing was too much trouble. We loved the informality of the experience, we’d enjoyed larger cruise ships in the past, but, for us, the smaller size meant that the passengers mixed more and we got to meet and get to know more people. It is hard to pick out highlights from experiences which ranged from visiting the cramped living conditions of windmill families to the breathtakingly opulent cathedral architecture, but, for sheer atmosphere, cruising through the lights of Budapest at night was especially memorable!
