We chose this cruise because we wanted to try a Viking Ocean Cruise. And the itinerary was the Norwegian Fjords, which was an itinerary that we wanted. We have over 40 cruises on another cruise line but we wanted to experience a smaller ship. The cruise, and Viking, exceeded our expectations. The service, the food, the entertainment and the excursions were all simply outstanding. In the fall we did a cruise with the cruise line that we usually sail with and it was impossible not to compare it to Viking. I’m afraid that Viking has hopelessly spoiled us. The quality of the food on the other cruise line that we sail with could not begin to compare to Viking. And we found the constant sales pitches/photographers/art auction on that cruise line irritating. Viking does none of that, which is so refreshing. We have already booked another Viking Ocean Cruise and we are so looking forward to this cruise.
