This was our first with Silversea & was a recommendation from some dear friends who had cruised other comparable lines. We found an itinerary we liked and called Silversea directly. Our experience with our agent,Lazaro, was one of the most professional we had experienced. He was well informed and helped guide us through the process from beginning to end.
The cruise itself, Singapore to Hong Kong was delightful despite rough seas on day 1. Air arrangements, hotel and transportation were exactly as one would expect for a trip of this magnitude. Boarding the ship, immigration, were all seamlessly done. Meeting our butler, Nishin and cabin steward was a pleasure as compared to other ships where you might not get to meet them until the ship is underway. They took care of all our needs as requested and offered assistance in anticipation of any query we may have had.
The Silver Spirit is not a terribly large ship which was to our liking. It didn't take long to navigate around the decks. The stairwells and walkways are graced with beautiful artwork and sculptures as are the restaurants and public venues and lounges throughout the ship.
Our cabin was located forward on deck 6.1st night was a bit tough due to rough seas.
The cabin itself was large in comparison to other ships. Walk-in closet, shower and separate tub was a nice touch. Separate sitting area off the bedroom. Writing desk, mini fridge, flatscreen TV. All up to date and in pleasing colors. Veranda was pleasant with chairs and teak deck.
Our butler provided us with our liquor requests, beer , wine, champagne and Perrier as needed.
Bed was firm but comfortable, superior linens and fabulous pillows. Nice that you can pick your own.
