As people in our 40's this was our 1st ever cruise and Princess wasn't our initial choice... we originally had booked Royal Caribbean but cancelled that cruise when we found out it was going to be a "cultural enrichment" cruise designed for Asian passengers. So we decided to book Princess even though we thought Royal Caribbean was going to be more "fun" for us.

Having said that we are not party animals at all, and enjoy board games, eating out and going to see comedies and shows on our weekends back home... so thought a cruise would be perfect for us. So with that in mind... here is our review.. the good, great and the bad!

THE GOOD/GREAT

Cabin Review

Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin MD

We were in a mini-suite on the Dolphin deck and the room itself was great. Generally it was very clean (tiles in shower could have done with a clean) but the room itself was great. Lots more room than I expected and having the extra area for a sofa was worth the money. I spent a lot of time before bed watching movies on my laptop as I don't like watching anything in bed. Worth the extra money.

Port Reviews

Bali

Airconditioning didn't work on the bus and they dumped us in Kuta where there was nothing to see or do.

Kelang (Kuala Lumpur)

The towers were closed because it was a Monday and people were late. Also took 2 hours of driving in built up traffic to get there from the Port. Wouldn't do it again

Langkawi

Loved it. They took us to several different places where we had just enough time to do what we wanted.
