Suite chosen as it was to go South and enjoy a gracious Christmas at sea. Unfortunately there was no priest or minister aboard unlike other cruise lines during such holidays. Cabins/suites are now very handsome and luxurious. Unfortunately the size of the ship does not handle rough seas well. Cuisine was fine, but not outstanding and meals especially soups were tepid versus hot; likewise a steak came out of the kitchen cool...this is unacceptable for this price point. Room service was exceptional unfortunately restaurant service is terribly slow and meals were delivered often to the wrong person at the table. Bar service poolside is exceptional unfortunately the lobby bar attendant was often surly bordering on argumentative, I do not pay to have a person with a chip on his shoulder wait on me. This individual ought not to be waiting on passengers, I often felt demeaned by his attitude. Entertainment was low key but quite good unfortunately the sets needs to be upgraded to elegant versus looking like a bad high school bit of long forgotten scenery. Having said all this it is the ship’s clientele that makes one feel a sense of belonging. Fellow passengers are gracious, highly intelligent and well travelled without having any airs and graces. All in all I shall give Silversea another try but on their larger Silver Moon.
A lovely cabin of the highest standards. The only niggle that in high seas the ceiling creaked and the bed headboard squeaked. Otherwise the suite layout is outstanding. The decor is subdued and elegant.
