The Haven room was terrific and the access to the separate pool and hot tub, as well as the breakfast/lunch space in Moderno, were very nice. Service for the room and the concierge was very good, too. We had a cabana in Harvest Caye and that was great (and, frankly, important in that it rained much of the day so it was nice to have a spot to stay all day). The rest of the ship, though, was pretty good to so-so. It didn't help that it was cloudy/rainy the entire time. Restaurants were good but not great and we felt nickel'ed-and-dime'd despite having free drinks and dinner passes. Casino was fun. We avoided the shows based on the previews they shared on the in-room channel; what we saw looked very amateurish. The kids club was a bust...our kiddos wouldn't go (and I don't blame them). We got the kiddos passes for the arcade, and they played there for hours. Ironically, while my wife and I will likely do NCL again for the Haven, we preferred our Disney experiences BUT our kids really want to go back on NCL (probably because they had their own pool and we gave them a ton more freedom because the kids club was mediocre).
The Haven rooms are superb. Great space. Smart design and placement. With 2 kiddos, a fully separate room allowed for space and privacy. And, the service from the butler and the concierge (in addition to the room steward) was much appreciated.
Miami is a cool city. Lots to do and impressive foodie scene.
We had a cabana and it was terrific. Nice service, although we felt a little rushed at the end of the day as the folks working wanted us to pack it up. The pool is nice and the food delivered from Land Shark was pretty good (I had lobster for about $20). The zip line looked fun but it was raining much of the day. I don't think an excursion would have made a ton of sense...you have to disembark onto Harvest Caye, then wait for another transport to the mainland.
We checked out the port, bought some trinkets and then headed to the Crazy Lobster via cab. It was fun, but just a little bit more dumpy than I had expected (after having been to about a hundred cities/ports/etc outside of the U.S.).
