Personal recommendation

Excellent in every way - instructive, active, enjoyable. The programme of daily activities was very good - interesting, relevant, educational - during our days at sea. On days of landing we enjoyed morning and afternoon landings (not possible on bigger ships where numbers landing are limited) and if it was not possible to land (due to swell or ice conditions ) either an alternative site was chosen or we were offered small boat cruises which were always interesting. We had opportunities for walking, camping, taking a 'polar plunge' , kayaking, visiting places of interest eg base stations, museums, old whaling stations and, of course, observing the amazing wildlife.

Life on board the ship was comfortable, well organised and we were very well looked after. The food and service in the restaurant were excellent and social activities, including the Christmas celebrations, were all well planned and added to our enjoyment of the cruise.

Cabin Review

No problems; the cabin was comfortable, quiet at night and we were well looked after by our stewards.
