We chose this cruise to be asea for Christmas. It was most definitely disappointing in that aspect.

My wife mentioned and I had to concentrate to try to find actual Christmas music. It was as if RCL went well beyond making this an apolitical, secular Non Christmas cruise. Every song played in the centrum was ordinary Christmas pop music. But not one religious Christmas song was played. Even while strolling around the ship the absence of actual Christmas music was missing. Sad that RCL is jumping on the PC bus even while marketing this as a Caribbean Holiday. Attended the Centrum 'Christmas Music' Guessathon. I'm not particularly religious, but it would seem that Christmas is not allowed to be celebrated (unless its in a separate venue, and not out in public).Sad. There was a Menora on display, so it is not as if NO religious artifacts were allowed, just a prejudice towards Christianity.

That said, onto the ship. Boarding in San Juan was an absolute breeze. The 'pre check in' system on the app was the best check in we've ever experienced. Unlike other companies, there was NO line at embarkation unless someone had not used the pre check app.

Cabin Review

Ocean View

Room was a little smaller than Carnival rooms. Steward was top notch. Never missed a day cleaning or keeping up with used consumables. Bed was a little hard, no foam pads anymore :-(
