This was a back to back cruise. There are many very good aspects to this ship. It’s small leading to great interaction between crew and passengers. Even the entertainers spent time with the passengers. The Captain was very accessible and courteous. The General Manager the same. The executive concierge helped us with several personal problems. The destination staff went out of the way to find us good excursions. With the exception of 3 meals, the food ranged good to excellent. The butler and room cleaning staff were friendly and efficient and courteous.
Prime 7 restaurant has great service although I was disappointed in two steaks. Compass Rose restaurant had excellent service most of the time but some of the service areas are remote to the tables they support
There were some negatives as well. The ship is in need of a massive makeover. Our suite, 931 is under a smoking area. The smoke was not a problem, but the moving of the furniture was noisy and bothersome, particularly after 9:00 pm. And as late as 2:30am. I would never recommend this room. We had been reassured by Regent that this suite would not be noisy. The trouble was addressed, but we did not see a solution. Rust is showing in many areas. The Diesel engines are noisy and have much vibration in the rear of the ship. Disembarking was very inefficient compared to other lines we have cruised.
Bathroom small and dated. Bed very comfortable. Very small shower. Well stocked with toiletries. Good towels. TVs adequate. Nice bar.Tiny balcony. Not enough recharging outlets.
