Family wanted to experience this hyped up sailing thinking it would be extra special, it was special all right because the inflated price never justified the offering. The only amazing stand out were the cabin was immaculate even though toiletries were gravely downgraded, and the stateroom hosts were exceptional. David Johnson in concierge was impeccable, understated warmth with great communication skills and demeanor.

Embarkation this sailing was a nightmare. People everywhere and the security lines wrapped into the parking garage and then the snaked the lines in there, lots of people being pulled aside for bringing prohibited items on board, just disorganized and frustrating, not a great way to start a sailing. They need to go over to RCCL and check out how they embark, hopefully when they close the terminal in June 2020 they upgrade it to make embarkation less of a circus. In a nutshell more security options to move things along.

Food on board was just okay, the fast food deck 11 options were tasteless, if you have sailed DCL before you have previously experienced the MDR menu options, never hot and while pretty presentation either too salty or very little taste, server was fantastic but his helper wore so much cologne you could almost taste that!

Cabin Review

Concierge 1-Bedroom Suite with Verandah

Great use of space, very clean. Stateroom hosts were exceptional. Mercedes and Eric were the kindest people. Room always remarkably beautiful to return to. No more upgraded toiletries, no more cookies in the evening. Beautiful towel animals and fridge always full of desired beverages. This team and room elevated this dismal sailing but the cost was ridiculous. Note: I left a pair of pretty new ankle boots on the ship and Mercedes or Eric found them and lost and found will be delivering them shortly, kudos for that. Love those two amazing human beings!!
