We chose this cruise because of the itinerary.

Being in a suite, we received many on board perks which included having an extended room service menu which we utilised for breakfast on 3 occasions. We also ate breakfast in The Crown Grill 3 times, another suite advantage, the service there was excellent. However we opted to eat in Club Class Dining for breakfast, lunch and dinner most of the time. Club Dining is a terrific innovation, we were greeted by name after our very first visit and the service and quality of food was excellent.

We were disappointed with the standard of most of the entertainment which was below par and not what we expected. The production shows were good as was one of the guest singers but a man playing with a yo yo and spinning tops was not suitable for the main showroom, this act belonged in a shopping centre, entertaining children.

Cabin Review

Penthouse Suite with Balcony

We had read many reviews on the dreaded vent on the aft suites, there is definitely a continual noise but it never bothered us and we did not experience any strong odours, just the occasional smell of food. Neither of these things impacted on our use of the balcony. We should make mention of the teak balcony furniture, it was very comfortable, especially the lounges but is in need of some maintenance. The cabin itself has a awkward layout and the television in the bedroom can be a hazard when walking from the bathroom into the bedroom as it protrudes too far out and a short person can easily hit their head on the edge of it. The wardrobe is also very awkwardly placed, however plenty of storage space everywhere.

Overall a very comfortable cabin and we loved the oversized balcony where we spent a great deal of time.
