Majestic Princess 11-14 thru 12/7/19

A note, if this review appears to be more critical than one of praise of our back to back voyages on the Majestic Princess it’s because we’re more sensitive to features not pleasing to us. We are optimists and thus expecting all to be wonderful.

The Sydney port is one of the easiest ones to use for embarkation, flawlessly run and efficient in allowing passengers to board. Ditto goes for disembarkation. On our back to back voyages, leaving from and returning to the ship was plain out and out problem free. Traffic about the port area moved smoothly. The pier is a block away from “the rock” an area of shops and restaurants, some with fine goods. You can also walk to the opera house from here or pick up a ferry to ride about the harbor and to the zoo. Try out some of the pastries, you’ll see them in various windows. The area is safe, eye appealing and worth a look. You’ll also find musicians about the dock area making it lively and attractive. The new light rail was about to open. It will take you to the Central Business District and all the sights about it.
