We got a great deal for this cruise and decided to go. We also wanted to try the private island and that did not disappoint at all! The ship was great 2nd time on Anthem for us. Staff was fine except for a few that we learned were brand new so asking questions that can't be answered was a pain. The Windjammer was very good and the food choices were good too. Finding seats at peak times can be a problem. Also there needs to be more table cleaning staff. We had to remove plates from the previous diners to sit a few times. Entertainment was great. The shows were all very enjoyable even though we saw them before. We did one shore excursion in Nassau that was fun. It was the Seaworld Explorer. 1.5 hrs and reasonably priced. Good for all ages too.

The private island was perfect. There are plenty of lounges all over whether you want to sit by the pool or beach. No need to run off the ship when you dock to find the perfect spot. Plenty of bar staff constantly asking if you need service all day long. We had lunch there and it was fine. We got burgers from one spot on the beach. We didn't go to the water park, just relaxed all day. The pool is huge and you never feel crowded anywhere you go.

Cabin Review

Spacious Ocean View

We usually book the balcony mid ship and decided to give this cabin a try. The extra space was nice up front and it was fun seeing where we were going. Good storage for suitcases. There was one lonely chair by the window. You could fit another couch there and still have plenty of room. The room was noisy when we were pulling up to a dock as you hear the thrusters. Also, being in the front and not midship does have more movement. I don't get sea sick but there was one night I did get a bit nauseous because of rough seas and rain. We also heard water/toilet flush from the next door cabin as the bathrooms are right next to each other.

Port Reviews

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

Unless you book an excursion there is really nothing to do besides getting off ship and walking around. A few stores and restaurants are within walking distance.

Perfect Day at CocoCay

The island was great! Plenty of lounges so you don't have to get off the ship right away so no worries about getting the perfect spot. Lots of drink servers no matter where you sit. The pool is beautiful and very large. The beach is just right. Food there was very good. You never feel crowed at all.
