The timeline fit well for us and the price was great.

The food in the dining rooms was mostly tasty, but not always hot. The service seemed to be a bit better in the Aqua restaurant, and Aqua was less noisy. You did not need to make reservations, but you could if you wanted to. We did not try any a la carte restaurants, and we heard mixed reviews from those that did. We were treated to dinner with the officers (we put our name in a "hat" and they chose us), and we enjoyed it very much. The gala night was not well advertised, so we missed it. The cinnamon buns are not as good as Holland America (those of you that have enjoyed HAL cinnamon buns know what I mean). The buffet served scones with cream and jam around 3 pm for tea.

We enjoy classical music, and there was very little of it, but we did enjoy the violinist from Poland. The evening entertainment was good with a good variety including comedian, magician, contortionist, gymnast, acrobatics, Adele impersonator, violinist, the Norwegian star orchestra, singers, and dancers. Robert was a gifted pianist which we also enjoyed in the Gatsby lounge.

Cabin Review

Family Inside

The bed was comfortable, and we slept well. We could smell a bit of breakfast cooking a few mornings, and there was a smell of fuel in the cabin while the ship was being refuelled on embarkation day.

The shower was spacious and water was hot. The toilet didn't want to flush properly on a few occasions, but the plumbers took care of it.

Once in a while we heard sounds from the Bliss lounge, but it was not bothersome.
