Sail Date: Nov 2019
Cabin: Mid-Ship Oceanview Porthole Window

This was the 2nd leg of our 30 days from Hawaii to Australia which was an amazing itinerary with great weather.

I covered most of the detail in part 1 of my review. A third of passengers were back to back so the vibe of the ship didn’t change too much.

This itinerary was much more balanced than the first leg with no more than 2 concurrent sea days. The CD also settled more on this leg and got in the moment and did a much better job of creating a positive mood and hosted some talks and also got on the microphone when we were sailing thru Fiji. Tahani the assistant cruise director hosted a great progressive trivia and has a great ability to chat and remember the passengers.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Oceanview Porthole Window

Nice large cabin with tiny window. Close to stairs. Loud constant buzzing noise and very noisy when arriving in port. Great attendant.

Port Reviews

Tahiti (Papeete)

Walked to a local black sand beach

Bora Bora

3rd time here, this time we walked to the public beach (an hour) and snorkelled all day.

Pago Pago

Jumped on one of the cool decorated local buses for only 2$. Got out at 2$ beach (which costs $5) and had a lovely relaxing day. Beautiful place.

Lautoka

Couldn’t find a good deal to the outer islands so found a good deal to visit Belo Vula resort just off the coast. Only $15 fjd to use their island. Snorkeling ok. Very relaxing.

Suva

Walked around the town and visited the small local museum (only 5$). Huge local market next to the port is very interesting.

Lifou

Jinek Bay is world class snorkeling. $10usd is an absolute bargain. Unfortunately as there are no tours here everyone comes here even though they can’t swim and snorkel and will ruin the coral
